2017, What A Year!
Some of you may know that I am born in Japan and today is Oomisoka, the last day of the year to clean up and prepare for the New Year. In this light, I thought I’d share some of the highlights of 2017.
1st Corporate Charity
I’m so proud to have chosen our first corporate charity – The Bow Food Bank. We are one of the 14 organisations supporting this excellent local initiative. It is unique because, for example, it doesn’t require clients to be referred to use the Foodbank and they offer free legal and benefits advice.
1st Trade Show
We are based in Bow, E3 and want to be known as the go-to independent agent in East London. This is why having a table at the National Landlord Investment Show – East London was an ideal opportunity to raise awareness. It was a successful show and served as an opportunity to get more insight into what landlords were thinking of, worried about, and how we can help. Of the many exhibitors there, our decluttering Associate at Carefully Sorted and we were the only East London-based private company.
Another Finalist Award
Just in time for our third year company anniversary, we have been shortlisted at The Negotiator Awards for New Agency of the Year. It’s a proud moment as it is the premier award for the residential property sector. We must be doing something right, as we were also chosen as the finalist for Best Business in 2016 at the Best Business Woman Awards. It gives me the motivation to keep doing our great work and try again in 2018!
Starting Sales Activities
Thanks to some incredible testimonials and feedback from our clients, we have started to offer buying and selling properties for our clients. If clients are coming to us for lettings because of their poor experience with other agents, why not extend the Marybow ethos into sales?
Currently we are prioritising our current clients but in the new year, we will be offering to non-clients. Watch this space!
