How to Change Letting Agent

Ready to change your agent? Please follow the step by step instructions below.

1. Give Notice

Find out how much notice you are required to give your current agent. This can be up to 3 months and should be checked in the Terms of Business you signed.

2. Get Tenant Details & Paperwork

If you don’t have the tenant details, ask your agent and request a copy of all the compliance paperwork held on file such as the current gas safety certificate and the electric safety report. To end the tenancy, make sure to get them to arrange the final check-out inventory and release the deposit back to the tenants. Arrange when to collect the keys if you don’t have a working set and your final statement of account so your float fund in the client account is refunded to you in full.

3. Talk to Us

Complete our paperwork and once done, we will liaise with your tenants regarding new viewings. If the tenants are staying, we will advise them of the hand-over process such as new rental payment account and transfer of deposit protection over to us.

4. Complete the Handover

We will collect the keys from you or your agent and send a summary of the Handover via email.

Having had my property managed by larger agencies for several years it was refreshing to feel like my business actually mattered to Marybow Property.
